Raila Odinga's 'laughing' shoe

Nairobi, Kenya: When he stepped forward to address the gathering at St John’s Everlasting Gospel Church in Imara Daima, Nairobi last Sunday, CORD leader Raila Odinga was in his element.

He was in jovial mood and stood out in a well laundered suit and a tie to boot. But something was amiss. Baba’s shoe, his left shoe, was gaping or as children would say, ‘laughing’.
