Gitau shines at NIC Golf Series

Rose Gitau posted a blistering 41 stableford points to win as the second leg of NIC Golf Series teed off at Limuru Country Club. Gitau, playing off handicap 12, had a bad start to her round, carding a double bogey on the difficult par-four opening hole, she quickly made amends to post two birdies on the par-four second, a relatively short hole and the par-three fifth, a challenging well bunkered hole with a two-tier green.

On the back nine, Gitau posted five pars and a birdie on the par-five 15th to finish with 41 points during the event characterised by high scores at the weekend.
