A draft bill prepared by Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma for scrutiny by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) seeks the secession of 40 out of 47 Counties.
The bill states that all other counties should separate from Nyeri, Murang’a, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Embu, and Tharaka-Nithi. This 7 Counties make up the Mt. Kenya region.
