Let's wash hands to save the lives of our children

As the old proverb goes, prevention is better than cure, so is hand washing. A simple activity of washing your hands appropriately and consistently will help reduce the number of hospital admission by 80%. Especially for the under-fives, water washed diseases are the leading cause of mortality in the developing world. The reduction of the mortality of the under-fives must start by the simple activity of washing hands which is cost free, this will go a long way in reducing the number of children who die before their fifth birthday.

Healthcare services are very expensive especially in Kenya,and most families faced with poverty find it hard to access it. To prevent death of children because of luck of healthcare can be done by  proper hand washing. Hand washing must be done by clean running water with soap as this eliminate 90% of disease causing microbes(germs) ,with water only eliminates 10% of germs .
