President Uhuru’s 2017 Strategy: Mix them, gather them then scatter all

Kenya: The recent parastatal appointments make for a very comical read.

You may think William Shakespeare has resurrected and written another play of 'comedy of errors' Kenyan chapter.Recycling aside, this is a master stroke by Uhuru Kenyatta at least as far as his political advisers and strategists are concern. Rather than wait  for the  jostling for his money under the guise of pre-election and post election agreements nonsense, he would rather kill them all but still maintain the loyalty of their leaders.

Like father like son(Moi) Uhuru has finally found a  formula of reducing the many political outfits that serve no purpose but make a lot of noise during electioneering period, bringing confusion to the voters and what better way than to collect and gather them then scatter them all over in various parastatal bodies and departments. Now effectively New Ford-K is dead for Eugene Wamalwa, Musikari Kombo and Chris Okemo all have now been appointed into various institutions. Kalembe Ndile's Tip Tip may not rise again given that it was more of a one man party than anything else.

PDP has been buried with the appointments of Omingo Magara, as for Obwacho and Ford People, they been with Uhuru all along anyway. But tell me how many boards does Wavinya Ndeti sit in?

The appointment of the politicians especially those who own parties goes to prove that in Kenya, political parties are just baskets politicians go to the market with after which they take the contents and throw the baskets under the bed until another market day!

On this, Uhuru must have been reading Norton's book on Moi or may be that alleged meeting between him and Nyayo might just have been the the trick that did it.
