Here is What Kenyans on Twitter Said over Raila Remarks on Auditor General's tussles with the President

Remarks by CORD leader Raila Odinga on President Kenyatta's alleged lack of support for government auditor general's fight against corruption raised uproar among Kenyans on twitter.

While in Nyacheki, Kisii County on Monday, Mr Odinga dared the government to prosecute Mr. Edward Ouko, the auditor general over the alleged noncompliance with procurement procedures in acquiring an auditing systems said to be worth Sh18 million at Sh100 Million.

"You say there is nothing you can do about corruption yet you are intimidating those who want to do something about it," said one by @Nyandiga001 in a tweet under #TellOffUhuruOnAGOuko.

Concerned with the tribal lines which had been taken on the social media platform, Godfrey Sheri, @76manuela said the war against corruption will be lost if handled on ethnic lines.

"The moment we look at Mr Ouko as a Luo then the battle against corruption is lost." He said in a tweet.

President Kenyatta's comment on the Euro bond saga concern raised during the statehouse summit on transparency raised eyebrows over his support for the auditor general's efforts in investigation of likely corrupt deals.

Giving his views, Osoro Michael said it would be good to have suspicions on Mr Ouko investigated just as any suspect would be.

He said that Kenya would go wrong as a country of people protecting their own.

"If Mr. Ouko is mentioned in anyway in corruption, he should also be investigated, remember Anne Waiguru was a 'whistleblower'." read his tweet.
