Kimilili High School Principal has dismissed claims he terminated his school from national drama festivals in Nakuru

Kimilili High School Principal Mr. Patrick Wandili has dismissed earlier reports that he had ordered his students to leave the  on-going national drama festivals  in Nakuru.

Wandili told The Standard  on phone that his students were still at the festivals awaiting results and possible participation in the gala event.

He said the reports had no basis whatsoever and that whoever made such claims had malicious intend to harm the reputation of the institution.

“I am shocked to learn about reports insinuating my students have been ordered to leave Nakuru. As we speak, the students are still in Nakuru awaiting results and possible participation in the gala event,” said Wandili.

Nzoia Region Executive Secretary Wycliffe Indakwa while earlier commenting on the alleged withdrawal of the students had noted  the order was  unprecedented.

He added that it can be a sad turn of events for Kimilili High School whose play, Kuku Mla Watu directed by Erick Amunga was very well received and chances are it could make it for the gala.

And sounding confident, Wandili noted it beats logic for him to order students back to the school, when they were sure of being part of the gala event.

“We are in Nakuru until the logical conclusion of the event and anything to the contrary is total falsehood  being perpetuated by people will ill intend,” added Wandili.
