Chapecoense goalkeeper Danilo has been pronounced dead despite initially being named as a survivor in the Colombia plane crash, according to the Sun.

The 31-year-old was one of 81 individuals on load up the bound Flight AMI2993 from Brazil to Medellin, through Bolivia.

At first the loss of life was accounted for at 76 and if those figures are correct it now remains at 77.

Alongside colleague Alan Ruschel, 27, Danilo was pulled from the wreckage and rushed to hospital.

He is reported to have survived the initial accident but sadly died in hospital. Reports Brazil claim he did get a chance to speak to his wife before passing away.
