Police have said they will review a video of Liverpool star Dejan Lovren goofing around in a carpool video with two Reds teammates after safety concerns were raised by experts.

The Croatian centre-back can be seen accompanied by Lazar Markovic and Marko Grujic as he drives the pair to Liverpool's Melwood training ground.

On the way, the 27-year-old can be seen cheering loudly, tapping on a phone and banging his hands on the steering wheel.

Merseyside police told The Sun they would be “reviewing the video’s content and assessing any further action necessary”.

Brake road safety charity spokesman Jack Kushner also spoke to The Sun, he said: “It’s disappointing to see somebody who is a role model driving in such an irresponsible manner.”

Liverpool have yet to comment on the video but have removed it from their online channels.
