It’s all systems go for this weekend’s (July 23-24) inaugural Maasai Sevens rugby tournament at the Champagne Park, Kipeto Village in Kiserian, Kajiado County. Nine teams have already confirmed their participation, with recently crowned Masaku Sevens champions Homeboyz RFC headlining the top clubs that will battle for first place prize money of Sh250,000.
Other teams are Mean Machine, Bungoma RFC, Catholic Monks, Comras RFC, Webuye RFC, Kilunda RFC and Kajiado combined. National schools sevens champions Laiser Hill, Ngong Hills Academy and Comras will compete in the age-group category as Maasai Warriors, Maasai Newcomers and Tusker Ndovu take part in the touch rugby category.
