The best explanations for the Bayern boss flashing his pants

The second leg of the Bayern Munich v Porto Champions League quarter-final was a bizarre game of football.

Sure, Bayern responding to a first-leg defeat by scoring five goals in the first half made it pretty memorable - but there was a far more remarkable incident just off the pitch.

We speak, of course, of Pep Guardiola having a wardrobe malfunction.

Of all the managers in world football to split their trousers on the touchline and expose their underwear to the world, we would never have believed it would be the dapper Bayern boss who would suffer the embarrassment.

We figure there must be a reasonable explanation. So here a few theories:

He was laughing so hard at the ineptitude of the Porto defence that the seams of his trousers couldn't take the strain

His trousers were splitting their sides at the idea that he'd leave this Bayern side for Man City

He realised that being the best manager in the game and the most stylish was making everyone else feel bad - so deliberately displayed a flaw to make the rest of football's bosses feel less inadequate

He was making a point - he is so cool, talented and generally awesome, he can still look cool even with his trousers flapping in the wind
