Arsene Wenger set to give Mesut Özil warning over night out in Berlin club

Arsenal’s Mesut Özil could face Arsene Wenger’s wrath after he was spotted partying with friends - just hours after missing Saturday’s 2-1 win at Newcastle United due to illness.

The midfielder, 26, was omitted from Arsene Wenger’s squad for the trip to St James’ Park as Olivier Giroud’s double earned them the points.

The Independent reported that Wenger is set to hold talks with the midfielder after night out in Berlin club and remind him of his responsibilities to the team and the club.

Arsenal is likely to remind the German international about his responsibilities, as they did with Wojciech Szczesny after his smoking storm earlier this year.

Ozil, who had been released for international duty, is expected to recover in time for Germany’s friendly with Australia on Wednesday night.
