Angel di Maria tells friend he ‘regrets Manchester United transfer’

Angel Di Maria has told friends that he made a mistake by joining Old Trafford  last summer, according to reports in Spain. 

The Argentine winger made an encouraging start to life at Old Trafford since his British record transfer fee move from Real Madrid, scoring three goals and his shock confession will add weight to the rumours he could be set to leave Old Trafford this summer.

According to Daily Express,  Spanish journalist Manuel ‘Manolete’ Esteban told Spanish TV show La Goleada that Di Maria regrets leaving the European champions.

"Di Maria has confessed to someone at Real Madrid that he regrets joining Manchester United."

Paris Saint-Germain were very interested in his services but were forced to pull out of the deal to prevent violating Financial Fair Play rules.
