A 30-year-old man has been accused of breaking his friend’s leg using a metal bar.
The accused, identified as Samuel Muriuki Kivuti, is alleged to have broken Stasky Kariuki’s leg on June 26 within Muthaiga area.
According to police, Samuel attacked his friend Kariuki for allegedly forcing himself into his house after a late-night drinking spree.
Kariuki is alleged to have arrived home at night drunk, only to find the gate locked. It was then that he jumped over the fence and gained access into the house where he stayed with the accused.
At around 5am, an argument broke out between the two, in which the accused allegedly picked a metal rod which he used to hit the complainant on knee and fractured his leg.
The complainant was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital.
Kivuti denied the charge in court. He was released on Sh200,000 surety bond. His trial begins on October 31.
