My boyfriend has stopped talking to me after I told him my ex was better than him in bed

I have been with my partner for two years and we get on really well, but I still think about my ex from three years ago.

I had a short-term fling after splitting with my ex, before I met my current partner, and I thought I’d done the rebound thing and was ready to move on to a more committed relationship.

However, I bumped into my ex recently and it brought all those feelings flooding back. Now I don’t know what to do about it.

I’ve spoken to my partner and told him how I feel and it’s put us on a bit of a rocky path.

I want to be with him and I wish these feelings about my ex would go away, but he’s always in my thoughts.

As much as I love my partner, things are boring in the bedroom too.

I have really passionate feelings for my ex, although the relationship wasn’t as good. Help!

Coleen says

If I had a penny for every reader who wrote in to say they couldn’t stop thinking about an ex, I’d be a millionaire!

Stop romanticising about him and start remembering why he’s an ex.

There must be good reasons why you’re not together any more.

I bet you’re remembering all the lovely times when in fact, the relationship was rubbish at the end.

If sex is getting boring with your partner, then try to work on that before you give up.

It takes two to get the party started – maybe he’s bored too.

Passion is great – and an important part of any romantic relationship – but you can’t expect it 24/7.

It’s the day-to-day living that matters the most.
