Two men have denied they tried to kill a businessman in Ruai.
Joseph Musembi and Francis Ngige allegedly conspired to kill Stephen Kiongo Theuri between November 3 and 21 in Ruai.
The police said Kiongo was doing business with the accused persons.
The court also heard that the accused owed Kiongo Sh4 million after collecting hardware goods from him on credit.
Kiongo decided to file a civil suit in court after the two failed to pay him his money.
And on November 21, another businessman reportedly approached Kiongo informing him that the accused had asked him together with another person to kill him.
Kiongo’s friend allegedly told him they had been paid Sh20, 000 and that they had been promised Sh200, 000 for the job.
The two denied the charges and were released on a Sh80, 000 cash bail each or a surety bond of Sh100, 000.
The case will be heard on February 27, 2015.
