Let's enhance competitiveness, Uhuru urges

President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged the three arms of government to work together to boost Kenya's competitiveness and attract more investments. He said a closer working relationship in government will enhance a conducive environment for the various sectors and create jobs for the young and innovative population.

He spoke at the third Presidential Roundtable forum at State House, Nairobi, yesterday. The forum brought together the three arms of government (the executive, judiciary and legislature), the private sector and development partners.

"I am looking forward to a close engagement between all the partners here as we work together on proposals and interventions that will improve the livelihoods of Kenyans," he said The Head of State allayed fears that the proposed East African integration would kill local industries in the partner States.
