A businessman has sued a woman for allegedly drugging and stealing from him after a night out.
Simon Mwaniki Mwangi claims he was drugged by Marion Njeri Karanja after sharing drinks together at a club along Thika Road before requesting to spend at his house.
According to court records, Njeri was in the company of another female friend when the incident happened on May 24, 2017.
In another count, Njeri is accused of stealing Mwaniki’s mobile phone and a television set all valued at Sh63,000.
The court heard that Mwangi who hosted the women woke up late the following morning feeling dizzy. It was then that he realised that some of his items were missing. Mwangi reported the matter to the police who tracked and arrested the accused.
Njeri however denied the charges and was released on Sh100,000 cash bail. The case will be mentioned on July 31.
