Public universities staff unions issue a seven-day strike notice over poor pay structure, want Government to implement 2013-2017 CBA deal.

Universities Academic staff Union (UASU) and Kenya Universities staff Union (KUSU) have blamed government for the delayed talks to harmonize their salaries.

KUSU Secretary General Charles Mukhwaya told the government to embrace dialogue so as to avoid the looming strike across the country.

The officials claim for the past years they have been patient and the stakeholders have not made any effort to address their demands.
