Tale of Tanzanian professor hired as driver at Kenya’s US consulate

The Kenya Consulate in Los Angeles, US, is on the spot over the sacking of six local staff at the mission, only to “hurriedly” engage two non-citizens for the position of drivers.

In a baffling disclosure by Auditor General Edward Ouko, the Consul General, whose name has not been disclosed, replaced sacked Kenyan drivers with a Tanzanian professor of Telecommunication Engineering and an El-Salvador national.
