Police net bottled illicit brews at fake pig farm

An illegal brewery, operating as a pig farm, has been discovered in a private home in Murang’a South.

Led by Deputy County Commissioner Samuel Njora, Administration Police officers raided the illegal facility in Kenol and were forced to climb through the roof to open the main doors after the workers declined to open.

Kenya Revenue Authority stickers were found in the labeled brands, raising suspicions of how they were acquired.

Police confiscated over 10,000 bottled illicit brews and arrested Peninah Wairimu Kanja and her 16 employees found in the illegal facility.
