Supreme Court rejects Waititu’s application to review petition against Governor Kidero

Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu

The Supreme Court has rejected Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu’s application to have the election petition against Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero reviewed.

Justice Jackton Ojwang ruled that the MP’s prayers did not deserve the audience of the court as they were just mere hearsay.

Mr Waititu wanted the case reviewed following the bribery allegations against Justice Philip Tunoi.

Justice Ojwang ordered the registry to refund the MP court papers assessment fees and the copies.

Waititu’s lawyer Harrison Kinyanjui however said he will challenge the orders before the entire bench.

Chief Justice Willy Mutunga will constitute a bench to hear the new application for review.
