New Ford Kenya leader Kenneth Lusaka has said the planned dissolution of the party to join the newly formed Jubilee Party is unstoppable.

He slammed the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leaders criticising his party for joining President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 2017 party of choice.

He said the planned dissolution is the best decision, and will guarantee residents of Bungoma a better future.

Mr Lusaka said the county needs a vehicle that would guarantee them the continued stay in Government.

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula and his Kakamega Counterpart Boni Khalwale have been vocal castigating Deputy President William Ruto and Governor Lusaka, accusing the two of planning to hawk the Luhya votes to the Jubilee Party.

“Those opposed to New Ford Kenya joining the new vehicle are day-dreaming, the vehicle cannot be stopped, we have put measures in place that will ensure we are at the helm of the country’s governance. Everybody fights to be in Government, not Opposition,” said Lusaka.

He termed the Opposition leaders as cry babies who are jealous at how fast Jubilee Party was gaining momentum and beating CORD in its own game.

PROPAGANDA MACHINERY

“I want to dismiss the propaganda that Bungoma is an Opposition turf. Look at the assembly, the majority is from New Ford Kenya and we have enough numbers of leaders in the National Assembly, therefore, people will vote for their favourite leader not parties. We use parties for convenience and I want all of you to join us in selling Jubilee Party manifesto and ideologies,” he said.

He said zoning of areas along party lines is a misplaced ideology, and said the county is not owned by anybody but by voters who will decide their best party.

“We are positioning ourselves so that we are not left out during the formation of the next government. Let’s not feel the cold when our people will be enjoying. We want to be part and parcel of the Jubilee Party administration,” he said.

He told Luhyas to join communities from Central and the Rift Valley because they cannot ignore them, as they form the majority of voters.

He said consultations are ongoing before the dissolution of NFK and other small parties that signed a pact with the Jubilee coalition in March last year.
