President Uhuru Kenyatta’s critics lack legal ground, says Kirinyaga Governor Joseph Ndathi

Kirinyaga County Governor Joseph Ndathi has accused some political leaders of lecturing the President on how to govern the country.

Mr Ndathi wondered who had given such leaders the mandate to tell the Head of State when to fire officials since the Constitution only recognised one centre of power.

"After the unceremonial resignation of our daughter from the Devolution docket, the same clique has started another chorus to have Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario sacked over the recent goof on the Harambee Stars," he said.

The county boss reminded Jubilee critics that the moment it was sworn in after attaining the highest votes of over six million in the 2013 polls, its chief executive officer became the automatic head of state with all instruments of power clearly defined.

"It is, therefore, shocking to hear and see some critics of the administration who have neither legal nor moral authority, lecturing to President Uhuru Kenyatta on how he should run his Government," Ndathi said.

He was speaking at Kerugoya stadium after witnessing the finals for both football and volley tournaments where the teams in both the men's and women's categories were selected.

He asked the President to ignore those offering unsolicited advice and remain steadfast on national building.

Ndathi also called for Waiguru's replacement to be from Kirinyaga County as stated earlier on by Gichugu MP Njogu Barua.
