Blogger Njoki Chege has been the topic of conversation for the past few days from Twitter to plus-size fabulosity fashionista, Neomi Ng’ang’a, throwing their opinions at her.
Her ‘Fat women, let’s tackle the elephant in the room’ article has drawn enough attention including Caroline Mutoko’s who has not taken this lying down.
The media personality quotes fashion designer Pat Lulu Mbela's response to Njoki’s article.
"There’s no easing into this conversation, so I’ll simply let Pat Lulu Mbela let it rip," Caroline says
Pat starts off by telling Njoki to worry about her life and leave other people to worry about theirs.
“I know I am fat. If you cared so much about my life and what I look like and how I got this way you would have been there to hold my hand as I disintegrated into a thousand pieces after losing not one but two children”, the fashion designer said before adding that she chooses not to be miserable but thank God for his mercies.
“Personally I think such people who are this heartless need to do some soul searching, a check with Dr Frank Njenga is imperative so he can diagnose why they are such nasty human being," part of Mbela’s article read.
The article points out that being fat doesn’t automatically equate to being sad and being thin is not equal to being happy.
“I encourage you to figure out your “fat” trigger…it’s never what I am eating that leads to my weight gain, it’s always what’s eating me. That’s my fat problem," Pat concludes.
Watch out Njoki Chege, you struck an ‘elephant’ nerve on this one.
