This afternoon officers from the EACC Western Regional office supported by operations officers from EACC Headquarters managed to arrest two Prosecution Counsel based at theOffice of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Kisumu.
The two suspects, Sonye Herbert Okumu and Jared Kipyegon Ruto jointly solicited and received a benefit of Sh15,000/- from one Henry Omollo Ongweto as an inducement to facilitate the reinstatement of Kisumu Criminal Case No.198 of 2015, after the police had recommended to the Director of Public Prosecutions the withdrawal of the said case.
