Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) equips Narok farmers with management skills

Livestock farmers in Narok County are set to benefit from capacity building sessions on better livestock management practices.

The session will equip 45 officials from livestock co-operative societies with skills in governance, insurance, credit preparedness, conflict management and better livestock management practices as a means to improve the livestock sector in the county.

This is a follow-up to the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Narok County government on May 29, 2015 where KCB committed Sh30M in support of the livestock sector while the County government pledged to provide resources for extension services, disease management and upgrade the market .

Speaking during the training session in Kilgoris, KCB Regional Business Manager Susan Koech said through the training, farmers will be equipped with business skills, accounting and income generating ideas which will help to increase their bargaining power and allow them to access markets and manage resources better.
