Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos says his administration will work hand in hand with Kenya Power and Lighting Company to increase the number of people who get connected to the national electricity grid. Local people — even those who live in grass-thatched houses—will be encouraged to get connected, he said.
“I must thank the government for lowering costs for connecting power to the locals and the residents should take up apply for power to be connected,” said Tolgos.
