African business leaders discuss economic trends

Kenya: Selected business leaders and policy makers from across Africa converged in Nairobi over the weekend to discuss mega economic trends in Africa. During the forum organised by Strathmore Business School, the business leaders discussed the growing trends in key economic sectors and prospects for the African continent with a view to providing insights for the continent's growth in the next decade.

Among those present were Kenyan Industrialist Manu Chandaria and Keroche Breweries Chief Executive Officer Tabitha Karanja. The participants at the panel discussion were mainly drawn from the School's Alumni and explored recent developments in the ICT and energy sectors, which are projected to change the fortunes of the continent in the wake of increased investment.

Strathmore Business School Dean George Njenga said the forum was one of the many that the business school is exploring as an avenue to share knowledge among key leaders and policy makers.
