Manchester United rated as worst behaved fans

Manchester United fans are the worst behaved in the Premier League after being involved in more incidents on England's trains than any of their rivals.

British Transport Police figures have revealed supporters of the Red Devils were caught up in 36 incidents on the rail network during the past two seasons.

They were followed by neighbours Manchester City (30) and Sunderland, who were involved in 28 altercations.

Elsewhere, Leeds United fans topped the charts in the Championship, with supporters of the Yorkshire club caught up in 77 incidents - more than twice of the Old Trafford outfit.

Birmingham City (40) followed, with Nottingham Forest third with 35.

British Transport Police said: "A small minority (of fans) engage in violence."

Meanwhile, five men have appeared in court over an alleged racist row involving Chelsea fans at a Paris Metro station.
