US: A photographer has cast a new light on some of the world's most famous porn stars by capturing them in stunning portraits.
Roger Kisby visited the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas earlier this year with the intention of photographing the porn stars in a more genuine and 'authentic' light.
He told the Huffington Post: "That was kind of challenge, how to shoot them in a way that not necessarily hasn't been done before."
Kisby, a Texan living in New York, added: "These are people who are photographed constantly.
"How do I make something a little more genuine and authentic?"
The photographs are now being exhibited for his latest show, entitled 'Head'.
“They have a certain way they’re used to being shot.
"They'd have a kind of porn look that they do - the sexy eyes and pouty lips.
"You’ll still see that in some of the pictures I’ve shown.
"But I tried to steer them away from that."
When preparing for the shoot, he asked himself: "How do I show a genuine, intimate portrait of XXX actors without showing them sexually?
"How do I get to the heart of who they are?
"My thought was simple portraits, isolated on a single color [with a] black background.
"Have them take off their shirts so there is the implied nudity ... I wanted to show them as real people, humans.
"I'm not trying to say, 'They're just like us.'

"They're just twenty-something girls.
"Some of them are in college.
"One of them is reading Joseph Conrad."
Earlier this year, teenager Kendra Sunderland was charged with public indecency over an x-rated film shot in a university library.
Her excuse for making the film was that she was "bored".
In the clip, the blonde woman exposes her breasts and fondles herself as students walk past just yards away, but seemingly oblivious to what is happening.
The clip, which has a watermark referencing a live sex chat website, went viral and has been shared thousands of times.
Since then, she has had a photo shoot with Playboy magazine.
