The Ugandan government has arrested popular socialite Desire Luzinda in connection with her nude photos that went viral almost a month ago.
The beauty, who bitterly fell out with her Nigerian boyfriend accusing him of posting the leaked photos, was arrested after weeks of public outcry that she was portraying Uganda in bad light.
She had gone into hiding as the country’s minister for Ethics called for her arrest.
She will face charges under Uganda’s Section 8 of the Computer Misuse Act, which says: “Any person who willfully and repeatedly uses electronic communication to disturb or attempts to disturb the peace, quiet or right of privacy of any person with no purpose of legitimate communication whether or not a conversation ensues commits a misdemeanor and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding 24 currency points or imprisonment not exceeding one year or both.”
