Holidaymakers making love in van a fined by police for not wearing seat belts

Ibiza, Spain: A group of randy tourists took their holiday romance a little too far after being caught by police making love in the back of a moving van.

The six Swiss holidaymakers, reported to be three couples, were discovered enjoying themselves by officers in Ibiza as part of drink driving clampdown on the Balearic party island.

However, instead of being charged with public indecency, the red-faced lovers were slapped with fines totalling €200 (£160) each for not wearing seat belts at the Playa d'en Bossa resort.

The group, which was described as half-naked at the time, were given with a 50% discount after paying on the spot once they had got dressed.

A police spokesman in Ibiza said that while having sex in a car is not illegal, not wearing seat belts in a moving vehicle is a criminal offence.

He added that it was the first time he had heard about anyone being caught making love in a moving vehicle.

The popular Spanish island has been gaining notoriety for sexual promiscuity after a British tourist was caught on camera performing a sex act on more than 20 men in a bar.
