Miley Cyrus posts topless photograph on Instagram and confirms she is NOT dead after internet hoax

Miley Cyrus topless photo

Miley Cyrus is NOT dead. In fact, not only is she alive and well, she's topless. At least she is in this cheeky snap she posted on Instagram today.

The Wrecking Ball singer, who was subject to an internet hoax this week, had been unusually quiet on her social media accounts and decided to come back with a bang to slam the rumours.

In the sexy snap, the 21-year-old star shows off her slender legs in a pair of Daisy Dukes and is seen putting her bare back towards the camera against a backdrop of a desert, while flicking peace signs with both hands.

She's no stranger to getting naked after THAT music video and fans were quick to praise her flesh-baring antics, with one cheeky follower posting: "Turn around girl."
She also posted a number of selfies with colourful accessories in her hair, along with a picture of her sat next to a chalk drawing on a pavement with the caption: "#ladytonguecontroller." We're not sure what that means, but at least she's not on the way to the mortury.

Meanwhile, the Facebook hoax read: “[SHOCKING] Miley Cyrus Found Dead in Her Los Angeles Home! Country singer Miley Cyrus found overdosed this afternoon in her Los Angeles home.”
When users click on the post, they were directed to a web page which looked like Facebook and were encouraged to share it further, spreading fake surveys which make cash.

Fans feared the worst after Miley failed to post anything on Instagram over the weekend but it turns out she was just playing with them and actually found the hoax pretty "funny". She can be a strange one at times.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "She is aware of the death hoax and thought it was actually pretty funny.

"By not responding, she thinks it is that much more of a joke because people are continuing to believe it. She has mentioned to friends that this is her Paul [McCartney] is dead Beatles moment.” Right, well, at least she's okay.
