Three armed men kill shopkeeper in Garissa

Garissa, Kenya: A man was shot dead in Garissa by suspected members of the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) on Wednesday.

This is the fourth killing incident police believe is related to bitter political differences between two Ogaden sub-clans.

Fighting between the sub-clans divided on supporting the pro-government federal Somali administration and those backing rebels fighting the Ethiopian Government (ONLF), have spilled over to Garissa as gunmen suspected to be sympathisers of the rebels hunt for supporters of their enemy.

Garissa County Police Commander Charles Kinyua said the shopkeeper was gunned down by three armed assailants.
