Kenya Tea Development Agency rolls out farmers’ literacy drive

Kenya Tea Development Agency Management Service (KTDA-MS) roll-out of a three-year financial literacy programme for smallholder tea farmers has begun.

The programme is built on curriculum development, training of trainers and farmers. The full roll-out of the initiative, in which KTDA is partnering with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Unilever, started in Kapkatet Tea Factory following two pilot projects in Kericho and Kirinyaga a few months ago.
