The 22nd Blue Triangle Cement Kenya Homes Expo will take place next week from October 15-18 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. The biannual expo has been riding on a vibrant real estate market, which has attracted international players.

Chinese manufacturing firm Avic International, is expected to lead scores of local and international exhibitors. The firm’s participation in the expo will mark its entry into Kenya’s real estate market.

According to the organisers, about 200 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation. The exhibitors will be drawn from real estate, finance, interior décor and design, building and construction industries. It is estimated that each edition of the Kenya Home’s Expo attracts about 40,000 potential buyers.

The expo also has a good representation of exhibitors from the United Arab Emirates, including Touchwood Furniture, a leading furniture manufacturer from Dubai, and Damac Properties, a realtor also from Dubai that deals in the development and sale of high-end luxury properties.

The theme for the 22nd Blue Triangle Cement Kenya Homes Expo is “Secure your Dreams”.

According to Daniel Ojijo, CEO and founder of Homes Universal, the real estate consortium that organises the Kenya Homes Expo, the expo gives individuals and corporates the opportunity to get perspectives, develop networks, strike business deals and make contacts.

“Having grown from humble beginnings 11 years ago at the Sarit Centre, strategy and expertise in the industry have enabled the Kenya Homes Expo to maintain the lead as the most authoritative homes expo in East and Central Africa,” he said.

Over the years, the organisers have managed to bring together innovative exhibitors offering products and services that meet the needs in the real estate industry. It has attracted sponsorships, partnerships and endorsements from organisations like East African Portland Cement Company (EAPCC) — makers of Blue Triangle cement — and the Ministry of Housing, which has endorsed it.
