Man sets kitchen a blaze in protest over lack of meat

A man in Busia County shocked residents after he set his kitchen a blaze in protest over lack of meat.

The man claimed that his wife made chicken and ate all of it with his children while he was away. The man who is a watchman at a local primary school is known for his rare and shocking antics whenever he is upset.

On the fateful day, he arrived home at about 7.00 pm only to find his family finishing supper. On seeing remains of chicken, he became furious demanding for his share.

“How comes you people have eaten all the chicken!” retorted the man.

His wife who did not want to pick a quarrel with her husband tried to calm him down but to no avail. The two engaged in a heated debate as they hurled insults at each other.

Unable to control his emotions, the man descended on his kitchen setting it a blaze amid protest from his wife.  Neighbors who turned out in rescue were time barred after they found the house already consumed by the fire.

His wife has since left after the incident.
