Pickpockets of Likoni Ferry

Pickpockets at the Likoni ferry are a menace. They move swiftly than most commuters and are easy to cause a commotion.

 Several residents have complained of these folks but these complains have fallen on deaf ears. People lose their valuables while jostling to board or alight from the ferries. The pick pockets are masters of their art, one cannot easily detect them.

Women are mostly targeted  because they carry handbags. The pickpockets know quite well these handbags contain valuables like phones, jewelry or money. Men are also victims of these criminals. These pickpockets snatch their wallets, phones and other valuables.

There is a police station at the Kenya ferry channel but few people have been arrested in connection to these acts. The police at the station focus mostly in screening vehicles going to board the ferry forgetting criminal activities happening within the channel.
