NAIROBI: President Uhuru Kenyatta Saturday placed security personnel and equipment of the Kenya Wildlife Service, the Kenya Forest Services, the Kenya Prisons Service and the National Youth Service under the command of the Inspector General of Police.

In addition, the operations of any aircraft owned by Government entities, except the Kenya Defence Forces, will be availed to the Inspector General of Police for the purpose of enhancing the country’s ability to combat insecurity.

The order was issued through an Amendment of Executive Order No.2/2013, Functions under Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, Ministry of Devolution and Planning and Petroleum, and Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
