Business comes to standstill in Nakuru as Owour makes stopover

Nakuru, Kenya: Prophet David Owuor Monday brought business in Nakuru town to a standstill after he made a stopover following a national thanksgiving prayer meeting in Eldoret.

His entourage of top of the range vehicles snaked its way through Nakuru town’s Kenyatta Avenue as the man known to his followers as the ‘Mighty Prophet of God’ briefly checked into Merica Hotel.

Followers who had been eagerly awaiting him broke into prolonged ululations as police trucks cleared the way ahead of his arrival.

Addressing his followers, Owuor urged Christians to shun money driven churches and embrace a non-sinful life.

“From today let us desist from adultery and sins. You should also shun churches preaching the gospel of money. I bless you together with your business, land and crops,” he said.

Some of his supporters who had gathered in various spots braving the scorching sun could not hide their joy after meeting him.

“Our Easter could not have ended on a brighter note as a result of the visit by the prophet and we expect blessings,” one of his followers outside Merica hotel said.

Owuor had just concluded a two day thanksgiving meeting at the Eldoret Sports Club where he made a triumphant entry accompanied by local leaders.
