Nairobi, Kenya: Talent search auditions for children will be held on Saturday from 10am to 6pm at KICC grounds in Nairobi.

The event planned by Superstar Kid Talent Search will focus on children aged 12 years and below.

The talent search seeks to identify the various gifts that the children have, ranging from music, modelling, dancing, spelling, drawing and poetry among many others.

First time

General Manager of Super Kid Talent Search Company Camilla Wangoi noted the event was being held in the country for the first time. It has previously been held in Uganda.

“We are planning to make it an annual event in Kenya as it offers a good platform for kids to showcase whichever talent they have and it also offers them a break from school where they can just have fun,” said Wangoi.

The event also seeks to promote physical activities among children and offer a perfect weekend plan for the entire family as some of the fun activities lined up include bouncing castles, fun games, music and performance.

“This is not an event to miss out on. I would encourage parents to allow their children to audition for this event, as it will offer great opportunities to explore their talents. And for those who would not audition, just to come out and have fun as there will be lots of fun activities such as horse riding, water pools and bouncing castles,” added Wangoi.

The winners in the various categories will walk away with fantastic prizes which will include a trip to Disneyland, limo rides, gift hampers, music studio recording deals and a chance to attend the superstar talent academy among other fabulous prizes.

“This will offer the children an opportunity to identify their talents and also to nurture these talents which offer an integral part in their adult life,” said Wangoi.

Some of the celebrities that will grace the event, where the Standard Group is the media sponsor, will be the talented female artiste Wahu, KTN’s news anchor and reporter Joy Doreen Biira among others.

Tickets for the event are available in Naivas supermarkets in Nairobi for Sh300 only per child, inclusive of two parents.
