Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan visits Jomo Kenyatta mausoleum

NAIROBI, KENYA: Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan this morning visited the Jomo Kenyatta mausoleum to pay respects for the Kenya’s founding father.

President Jonathan who was received by Deputy President William Ruto laid a wreath at the mausoleum in Parliament buildings in Nairobi.

The Nigerian President arrived in the country on Thursday for a three day state visit aimed at boosting trade and bilateral ties between the two countries.

Others who accompanied the President included Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Amina Mohammed, Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi, Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Chief of Kenya Defense Forces Julius Karangi among others.
