Shoeshiner’s body found at trading centre

Nakuru, Kenya: The body of a man has been found at Njoro trading centre in Njoro district.

Confirming the incident, Njoro OCPD Mr Okandie Ochokorodi, the man identified as Joseph was a shoeshiner at the centre.

Matatu touts found his body near his work station and informed the police. “Police officers examined the body but no signs on the cause of his death were noted,” said the police boss.

He, however, said according to the man’s close friends he has a history of excessive consumption of alcohol which might have caused his death.

Following the incident, Ochokorodi has cautioned residents against drinking into illegal brews.
