Social media enthusiasts react to President Uhuru advert in Nairobi

Kenyans on social media have harshly responded to the advert at the GPO roundabout, Nairobi of a seal bearing Uhuru Kenyatta’s name as the President of the republic of Kenya.

A Kenyan on twitter by the name Victor Atela shared the pictures of the advert on social media which had a lot of people talking. Some said that he was seeking recognition, while others said that it was a waste of public funds.

“For the first time, since independence, Kenya has a "president" advertising he is the president,” posted Atela.

You can put yourself on billboards, you can even put some badge around your neck, showing you are the president, but to many of us,you remain a by-product of faulty democracy!— Kamba Pundit (@kamwash254) December 4, 2017
