Kenyans express bitterness after police clash with NASA supporters ahead of Raila's arrival

National Super Alliance NASA) supporters on the morning of November 17 headed to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to welcome the party leader Raila Odinga.

Raila has been away in the United States for a 10-day trip. He went to London and the US to seek reforms in the electoral process.

Police had a hectic time keeping rowdy youths off the airport. The supporters disrupted traffic along Mombasa road.

This is at JKIA on 9th Oct 2014 when @UKenyatta returned from ICC. @JBoinnet should know internet never forgets. Let him prepare more canons and tear gas to chase away tourists if indeed the laws of our land changed #RailaReturns pic.twitter.com/nXbSwFs4a2— Pal Jeff (@Pal_Jeff) November 17, 2017

The same people lined up to receive certain ICC suspects when they returned home after a hearing. If that wasn’t idleness then i do not know what that was.

Uhuru and Ruto have been greeted by the public on arrival at JKIA from ICC. Let the people meet the people's Assembly president at the public airport.

By blocking NASA supporters from welcoming Raila is not being fair to them its like being denied a chance to welcome your father at home from work surely do you expect anything good from him?— peter (@aduolpeter) November 17, 2017

If Matiba was received, kibaki was even uhuru from icc then i think Raila should also be allowed to avoid double standards. So long as it's peaceful.— Gerald Kiriama (@KiriamaGerald) November 17, 2017
