President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto said that Raila Odinga would be vanquished during elections on October 26, and there was simply no path to shared government. They made this remarks in a rally in Karatina on 15th October, 2017.
They also said that it was not for Mr. Odinga or any other individual to decide when elections would be held, and no demonstrations, or conditions would lead to a result other than elections on Oct 26.
