Tensions between two leaders have taken a
tricky turn after a Central Kenya Governor who has been having frosty
relationship with several MPs in his county refused to greet one of them as
they were waiting the arrival of the President at a venue.
According to insiders, when the legislator
extended his hand in a cordial greeting to the governor, the politician slapped
it away and shouted an insult at his perceived rival leaving other leaders
perturbed by the sudden outburst.
The governor has been upset over what he
terms are attempts to undermine his authority due to 2022 ambitions from the
legislators, an allegation the MPs have vehemently denied.
