What could have happened to a famous education news blogger? Reports indicate that the police arrested the blogger-turned-television political analyst over claims of extortion of huge sums of money.

The former teacher who bitterly fell out with a senior teachers'union official, was arrested and arraigned in a local court to answer to cases of extortion and misappropriation of millions of shillings allegedly defrauded from some foreigners.

It was not immediately clear whether the controversial former teacher was cleared of the charges.

The blogger is said to have been evading police dragnets and has multiple Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, where he enjoys massive following from teachers thirsty for education news.

The social media accounts went quiet with no posts as members were shocked at the turn of events.

Online messages were awash with metaphoric messages on how the vocal man was humbled by the arrest.
