Two terror suspects arrested in Uasin Gishu

Detectives drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Uasin Gishu county on Saturday, July 11, arrested two terror suspects among them a foreign national.

The terror suspects were nabbed after a combined effort of the DCI Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) and The Special Services Unit (SSU).

After conducting an operation within Chepkatet village, in Kapsaret Sub-County, the detectives arrested Mohamed Ahmed Bisher, 59 and a foreign national Nasanga Ibrahim, 68.

During the operation, the detectives recovered assorted explosives, detonators, detonating cords, safety fuses and boosters.

The two terror suspects are in lawful custody as the detectives continue with further investigations.
